Jeff Myers – President and CEO
Jeff began his professional career with F.W. Woolworth Company (currently “The Footlocker Company”). Throughout his 14 year career, he was promoted to different levels of executive management.Jeff moved to Colorado in 1998 to pursue a career in telecommunications. He was given the responsibility to develop and grow a telecom division for Charles Taylor Communications (CHATCO). After 3 years of consecutive revenue growth, CHATCO was purchased and Jeff moved his team to Teleco of the Rockies and assumed the responsibilities as the Director of Sales. Within 1½ years, he more than tripled the sales team. In 2002 the Teleco of the Rockies ownership dissolved their partnership and Jeff Partnered with one of the founding principles, Dave Brown to start Axess Communications. Starting as the Vice President of Sales, Jeff was tasked with developing a go to market strategy in a struggling tech industry. Axess was recognized by The Denver Business Journal as the Fastest Growing Private Company in the Denver Metro Area in 2002, 2003 and 2004. In 2008 Jeff was promoted to General Manager and in 2009 purchased the remaining portion of Axess Communications from Dave Brown as Dave looked forward to his retirement. Jeff assumed the President and CEO position.
As President and CEO, Jeff looks forward to continuing Axess’s year after year growth since the company’s inception in 2002 and also maintaining its recognition of being a leader in the marketplace and the business communications industry.

- Member of the Board of Directors for CT Pioneers with CompTIA
- Recently published in Phones Plus Magazine (Jan. 05) – “Why the Channel should Champion Convergence”
- Currently developing a new industry wide certification program for “Convergence Technologies”
- Maintaining his Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Certification
Jeff was born in New Haven, Connecticut and has been married to his wife Peggy for over 23 years. He enjoys spending his time with his wife and daughter Kaitlyn, traveling and enjoying outdoor recreational activities in the Rocky Mountains.
Brian Thomas – Chief Operations Officer
Brian has over 20 years of experience managing large, complex projects for enterprise size companies in the Telecommunications and High Tech industries. Brian has a long track record of delivering significant business changes and cost reductions through process optimization and integration of sustaining technology. He has been successful by leveraging a strong combination of technical, business process, and project management experience applied to all business functions.Brian has a BS and MS degrees in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. He began his professional career as a systems engineer with Hughes Spaces and Communications Group designing satellite ground systems. He was a Principal at American Management Systems (AMS) where his responsibilities included technical project management and technical system architecture. He was at Accenture the last 12 years, 5 of which as a Partner/Senior Executive. At Accenture, he helped develop and deliver large telecommunications systems integration programs.
As COO of Axess Communications, Brian is tasked with working with our engineering staff to maximize our customer satisfaction. He is leading process improvement initiatives to maximize service quality and improve our response times.
Brian is married to his wife of over 20 years with 2 wonderful daughters. He and his wife spend most of their spare time coaching their daughter’s volleyball teams.
Dan Kummet – Vice President and General Manager
Dan joined the Axess Communications team in 2002 to develop the Data Division. He has been involved in the Information Technology industry for over 18 years. In that time he has been a trusted advisor to countless business environments including health care, manufacturing, financial and government. Dan has built a team of Denver’s top data sales and engineers that are committed to delivering business enhancing solutions for our customers. Dan has also brought the working relationships with some of the top data manufacturing companies to Axess Communications.Dan is a Denver native and enjoys playing goalie on a men’s hockey team, attending Colorado’s college and professional sporting events and spending time with friends and family.
Toby Schingeck – Director of Engineering Services
Toby joined the Axess Communications team in 2002 to as a systems engineer and has been involved in the telecommunications industry since 1996. Toby’s primary focus over the past 12 years has been on large enterprise products starting with TDM technology to the current standard VOIP. Today Toby focuses on converged technology and migrating both voice and data solutions together. Toby’s primary goal for the future is bringing breakthrough technologies to customers with proven results.
